I am definitely happy about where I am today. There are some things that are the same and some things that have changed. To begin with in high school I cheered all four years, did gymnastics all four years, and worked. I also cheered my first year of college at the community college I used to go to back in St. Louis. That is different than what I am doing now. I just work now I decided not to cheer because I became kind of burnt out and thought that it would take up to much of my time and I wouldn’t be able to work and make money. I definitely do miss cheerleading and the competition. Something else that is different is I broadened my horizon and transfered all the way down to Georgia from St. Louis. An aspect that is the same about me now and me in high school is my school habits. At times I have slacked like any normal person, but for the most part I make good grades and am able to have a social life as well. If I could change one thing it would have been going straight to a four year school instead of going to a two year school first because over half my credits didn’t transfer, so it was a waste of money. I am very happy to where I am at today and with the decision of moving away from all my high school friends, but I am ready to graduate, get a real job and move back to where my boyfriend is.

I feel ya with the cheerleading! I cheered from 5th grade until I graduated from high school. I was sick of it by the time I graduated, but now I miss it a TON!! On top of that I am more than ready to graduate, get a job and get out of Georgia too!
That is so awesome that you are from St. Louis and you and your boyfriend are still together. Long distance is hard, I know and to hear that you are successful with it is amazing! It is also great that you have good study habits that you kept from high school. I, however, have gotten a bit burnt out and have a MAJOR case of SENIORITIS!
Tera I definitely feel you onbeing burnt out. I was in chorus and band all during middle and high school and I was so ready for it all to be over by the time I hit college. Isnt it amazing how our taste change as we get older?
I can definitely relate to you about the cheerleading. I cheered in high school and did All Star for 10 years!!!! I always miss it, but then I think about all the time and money I put into it and I don’t really miss it anymore. I was burned out too!!!!
